While biking today, I had a random thought, as is often the case, when you are trapped in an endless cycle of moving the bicycle’s pedals back and forth to propel yourself away from the heat of the sun… But first of all, a disclaimer: I don’t claim to know jack shit about psychology, or the Human mind (professionally, anyway). Nevertheless, I think if you ask a person about their favorite hobby, favorite meal, or favorite anything, in their description of some procedure related with the inquired topic, they will inevitably reveal traces of their personality which you might be able to generalize and devise theories of mind with. This sounds kind of obvious: of course you should be able to analyse a person’s personality from engaging in conversation with them. The point here is that this method may provide a nice shortcut to the inner workings of a person’s mind.
